We have been big Honda fans for a bunch of years. I cut my teeth on a 1992 CR80r and then jumped up to big bikes to a 1994 CR125r. Now I also keep a 2006 CRF450x and 2002 XR650r in the stable for Desert duty at Best in the Desert. Recently we spent a bunch of time working on the 2017 CRF450RX and the NEW 2019+ CRF450x and developed settings for this platform. We learned a bunch and now we are back loving the Honda suspension since they did away with the Air forks and actually built a decent chassis again. The 49mm Showa fork is spectacular in design and performance but can alway be made better by tailoring to you and your riding style.
2019+ CRF450x has less travel than the R and RX model. We modify this shock to get full travel but you must be using an aftermarket muffler so there is no muffler/swingarm interference at full travel. When doing a revalve this is only a $25 modification and is 100% bolt on when the shock is apart.
We have developed and tested settings for:
CRF250r
CRF450r
XR650r
CRF250X
CRF450X (old and new)
CRF450RX
We re-valve, rebuild and spring correctly for your weight.
