WP suspension work is the lions share of what we do here at Enduro Spec. Maybe because they seem to need the most help or maybe it's the shear volume of Orange and White bikes out there now. Regardless, we have a ton of data on these bikes and a solution for everyone and their riding style, terrain etc. We are a performance and technology based suspension tuner. We carry and use only products that provide performance, not just because something is shiny and gold. If it does not work, we don't use them. Below are some of the builds we perform but is by no means a comprehensive list. We want to talk with you about your specific needs and wants. Contact Us.
The Xplor fork needs the most help on this platform and we have two solutions to fix it. Firstly, revalving the stock Xplor fork is awaste of time and money. Don't let your "tuner" say otherwise. The design does not lend itself well to being revalved because of the lack of control in one fork. One leg is void of an actual mid/rebound valve and shims to control it. It is replaced with a simple check valve, like an on and off switch. Option 1 - Budget friendly K-Tech ORVS, Offroad Valve System. Converts the fork to a traditional open cartridge design. Real mid/rebound valves, replacement bottoming control cone, real compression adjusters and both top caps become rebound adjusters. Just like we all know and love from years past. This is a great all around system that eliminates the design failures of the Xplor system. No more inconsistent feel, collapsing under braking, packing, feeling too stiff then too soft all at the same time. $875 includes installation, revalve, SKF seals, bushings and fluids. Also available for DIY installing. More info here. Option 2 - Mx-Tech Lucky fork inserts. All out performance not just for racing, most of our builds are bound for the trail using the lucky. $1350 includes the Lucky installation, revalve, SKF seals, bushings, fluids and springs for weight. Also available as a DIY installation. All the info here WP AER Fork - This is arguably the best air fork ever developed. With some modifications it can become spectacular. If staying with air is what you are looking for (over the Lucky spring conversion) then we have a solution. Complaints range from too progressive late in the stroke, harsh on small bumps to full on loss of pressure causing the fork to stick halfway down. To combat all of these issues we build the fork into a Works style fork for a fraction of the cost of going to Cone Valves or full replacement forks. We start with a revalve to your specification and use. We add the MxTech A48r system which includes a new cap, mid valve, volume adjuster and special tool for easier access. We then replace the stock air side seals using the SKF Glide kit to cut friction and minimize the chance of air loss. The Glide kit also comes with a new cartridge side seal head to lower friction. It's an all inclusive build that gets nothing but great reviews. $990 includes the Works build, SKF main seals, bushings and fluids. WP Shocks - We have solutions for Xplor, New Linkage, Old Linkage and Old PDS. Each one has their inherent issues, some more than others. Always the first question is if a customer should go with a bladder conversion. My first answer is no for a couple reasons. First, if the only reason is so your buddy can easily shoot nitrogen in the shock without investing in WP specific tools then the rest of the points don't have validity. Second, the floating piston design lends itself to better overall control but at the expense of some small bump compliance, easily overcome with a MxTech Tank. Third, bladders will absolutely migrate nitrogen over to the fluid side, that's a fact. If the shock is serviced on time every time and the bladder is replaced at these service intervals then you will have a great chance of that never becoming an issue. But rarely do the shocks get maintained to that level (including our own). So we do THE TANK based on application. The National Shock - If you must have the best, please click here. I'm sorry in advance. ;-) There are far too many combinations, so we would love to talk with you about your build. Contact Us. We have developed settings and parts for all of these models:
