The Yamaha Tenere T7 is near and dear to my heart. I have been riding and racing this bike all through the 2024 season and I'm convinced there is very few things it cannot do..... once we address the lackluster stock suspension. We have developed some build profiles that will peak the interest of ALL riders. With options from MILD to ABSOLUTELY WILD! I can also mix and match stages ie: Ktech or Andreani fork inserts with a National shock etc. Just ask.

Stage 1 $925
Stock valving, rebuild with seals, bushings, fluids and corrected spring rates for rider and intended use. This is a great option for any rider that is using the bike as it was intended. The stock suspension was designed to do one thing, be comfortable to the maximum amount of rider profiles. So in theory it should work stock for someone. We aren't sure who that is but they must exist. For the rest of us we are likely outside the rider weight profile and can benefit from getting the spring rates corrected for weight, intended use, two up, luggage etc. I feel that revalving the stock KYB suspension is a waste of time and money and there is no value there. It's old steel cartridges up front and a short stroke shock in the back. We really need fundamental design changes to maximize the stock units. See stage 2 for that progression and great value. Stock length only.
Stage 2 $1990
Revalved Ktech Fork Inserts, rebuild front and rear with new seals, bushings, fluids and springs for weight. Revalved rear shock using a Ktech high flow shock piston, low friction piston band and spring for weight. Now we're starting to affect some changes to design and it shows when the bike is ridden. The Ktech fork inserts are an open design similar to stock but with higher flow pistons, better coatings, lighter weight and significantly better quality all around. You have two compression adjusters, two rebound adjusters and two spring preload adjusters. Very traditional layout and significantly better hold up in the stroke. The shock piston by Ktech is a high flow unit with a low friction piston band. We modify the valving to your spec, new seal, fluid and nitrogen. Top it off with a spring for weight. Stock length only.
Stage 3 (Stock or Rally Length*) $3895
Revalved Andreani fork inserts, rebuild front and rear with new seals, bushings, fluids and springs for weight. Revalved MXTech National Shock and spring for weight. Want to stretch the T7 to gain travel and performance? Starting with stage 3 we can do either Stock Length or Rally Length (+30mm). Using the Andreani fork kit you get an Asymmetrical fork with one upper compression adjuster and one upper rebound adjuster as well as spring preload adjusters. This makes changes to your clickers a little easier by not having to climb under the forks. As with the Ktech kit you gain significant increase in quality of components, lower friction coatings, higher flows pistons etc. Now the magic starts to show by adding the National shock to the platform. The National shock is already an award winning design featuring Kashima Coat 46mm body, DLC shock shaft, HUCK Valve Technology, speed sensitive design and we were also able to incorporate a hydraulic preload adjuster into the unit. There is no more capable shock for the Tenere available then this system. ( Your choice of Stock or Rally length, +30mm).
Stage 4 (Stock or Rally Length*) $7750
We have partnered with MX-Tech Suspension to bring the most complete, outrageously capable suspension kit ever to be produced for the Yamaha Tenere T7. A Complete Blackjack 49mm Fork System featuring DLC lowers, Kashima Coat uppers, CNC machined axle lugs, Xtrig split triple clamps with adjustable bar positions. This is a true bolt on kit and we include a fixing/bolt kit with instructions. You can run all your stock components or any aftermarket components as long as they were designed to fit the stock T7 mounting positions. The National shock is already an award winning design featuring Kashima Coat 46mm body, DLC shock shaft, HUCK Valve Technology, speed sensitive design and we were also able to incorporate a hydraulic preload adjuster into the unit. There is no more capable system for the Tenere available then this system. (Your choice of Stock or Rally length, +30mm). Check out the product pages for more detailed description of the Fork and Shock kit. This is the exact setup I am running on my personal T7 and it's capable enough to race at a competitive National level and then turnaround the next weekend and take my son camping. It. Is. *Only two length options are available and no custom lengths will be considered.
OEM Fork Length 918mm/stroke 210mm
RALLY Fork Length 948mm/stroke 260mm (height +30mm, wheel travel +50mm)
